Format: 2 hours/session, 2 sessions/week (Total 4 hours/week)
Duration: 6 weeks

Week 1 – Foundation & Assessment

Session 1 (2 hrs):

• Introduction to CBAP

  • Exam structure: 150 scenario-based questions, 3.5 hours

  • Domains and weighting

  • Role of a Business Analyst

• BABOK Guide Overview & Key Terminology

Session 2 (2 hrs):

• BA Core Concepts: Needs, Requirements, Stakeholders, Value

• Diagnostic Test: 15–20 questions to identify weak KAs

• Activity: Group discussion – BA roles in a simulated project

Week 2 – Business Analysis Planning & Monitoring (BABOK Ch. 3)

Session 1 (2 hrs):

• Plan BA Approach (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid)

• Stakeholder Identification & RACI

• BA Governance

Session 2 (2 hrs):

• Scenario Exercise: Plan BA approach for hybrid project with conflicting stakeholders

• In-class activity: Stakeholder map + RACI chart

• Mini-practice quiz: 10–12 scenario-based questions

Homework: Prepare 1-page BA Planning cheat sheet

Week 3 – Elicitation & Requirements Life Cycle Management (BABOK Ch. 4–5)

Session 1 (2 hrs):

• Elicitation Techniques: Interviews, Workshops, Surveys, Observation

• Confirming elicitation results

Session 2 (2 hrs):

• Requirements Traceability & Change Management

• Scenario Exercise: Regulatory change impacts approved requirements – update traceability and communicate changes

• Practice questions: 15–18

Week 4 – Strategy Analysis & Solution Evaluation (BABOK Ch. 6–7)

Session 1 (2 hrs):

• Analyze Current State & Business Needs

• Assess Organizational Readiness

• Solution Options & Recommendation Techniques

Session 2 (2 hrs):

• Solution Evaluation & Metrics

• Scenario Exercise: Evaluate underperforming solution, recommend improvements

• Practice questions: 15–18

Homework: Prepare solution evaluation report for a simulated case study

Week 5 – Requirements Analysis & Design Definition (BABOK Ch. 8–9)

Session 1 (2 hrs):

• Modeling Techniques: Use Case Diagrams, Process Flows, Prototyping, Data Models

• Requirement Validation & Verification

Session 2 (2 hrs):

• Collaboration & Underlying Competencies: Communication, Conflict Resolution, Negotiation

• Scenario Exercise: Resolve design conflicts between operations and finance

• In-class modeling activity: Create process flow for a new module

• Practice questions: 15–20

Homework: Complete modeling diagrams and 20 scenario-based practice questions

Week 6 – Mock Exam & Final Review

Session 1 (2 hrs):

• Full-length CBAP Practice Exam (150 questions, split over 2 sessions for timing)

• Simulate real exam conditions (1.5–2 hours first half)

Session 2 (2 hrs):

• Continue practice exam & review incorrect answers

• Discuss scenario-solving strategies

• Review cheat sheets for all Knowledge Areas

• Exam-taking tips, time management

Deliverables:
